Give to your class reunion |
As part of its inaugural 2013 Reunion Giving Campaign, the Life University Alumni Association was able to award a student scholarship to one deserving student, Luciana Yabar-Hermoza. An international student from Peru, Luciana studied psychology at LIFE and graduated in June with honors.
The student scholarship was made possible through the combined contributions of the reunion classes. This year the classes of 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009 will again pledge their gifts toward student scholarships, a continued source of need for the University. The awarded scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 will make school more affordable for all students and ensure LIFE remains strong for decades to come.
Gifts of all sizes are needed! We encourage you to support your reunion and these efforts by making a gift online today at Alumni.LIFE.edu/ReunionGift

Jim Sigafoose, D.C., 1933-2014
With the passing of Dr. Jim Sigafoose, the chiropractic profession has lost another of its iconic figures, and Life University has lost a friend, former Board of Trustee member and co-founder of the University. Dr. Sigafoose passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, July 3 surrounded by his family. Our profession has been blessed with colorful figures who have both enlivened and frustrated its leaders and practitioners. It would be hard to find someone more colorful than Sig. Thank you for a life so well lived!

Life U Athletics Roundup
It's been another banner year for Life University's growing athletics department! The basketball team finished the season with a 19-15 record, playing the most difficult schedule in the country. The wrestling team, in only its second year of existence, managed a respectable dual meet record and entered the postseason on a high note. As winter made way for spring, the men's rugby club cruised to their second straight Division 1 National Championship and the undergraduate rugby team finished undefeated in the Mid-South Conference. Women's swimming, wrestling and rugby will be added this season.

Safety pIN INSTALLED AT LIFE
Recently, a giant safety pin has made its appearance on the Life University campus. Why a safety pin? In addition to being a chiropractic symbol that represents neurological connection between the brain and the body, it also represents the notion of how the body interacts with the environment. We believe these systems work best when they are free of interference. The safety pin is open to remind us that our job is to educate and care for the world though our chosen disciplines (closing the loop/pin). The pin will be closed when we have corrected all interference to the innate expression in all people.
