ALUMNI & FRIENDS NEWS

Dr. Randall Hammett (’79), who is celebrating his 35th reunion this fall, has published his 18th book on Amazon Kindle, “Anxiety, the Curse of the Modern World.”

Dr. Danny Gambino ('90) was recently presented the Doctor of the Year Award for the San Diego District of the California Chiropractic Association (CCA).  Congratulations!

We’d like to send out condolences to the family of Dr. David Craig (’97) who unexpectantly passed away in December 2013. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Craig family.

Dr. Keith Crowe (’98) celebrated the 61st anniversary of Crowe Chiropractic, located in Stockbridge, Ga., on Dec. 20, 2013. Crowe has continued the long standing tradition established by his father Dr. Hugh Crowe in 1951.

Thank you to Dr. Carl Amodio ('01) for hosting a very successful Real World:DCs in his office Thursday evening. He shared a wealth of relevant and worthwhile information on what it takes to be a chiropractor in the "real world."

Dr. Josh Wagner ('10) has created an online portal for chiropractors to join and receive strategies to use and cater to their practices to increase patient retention and higher quality new patient attraction. Powerful tools not seen before in the profession for both recent graduates and established clinics as 2014 presents man challenges to chiropractic practice. Click here to find out more.

Dr. Robert Rectenwald, professor and faculty clinician in the C-HOP, recently finished first overall in the Five Star Triathlon Series in the over 65 age group. Rectenwald credits LIFE for much of his success, saying "I get the best chiropractic care in the clinic, I have the use of the Wellness center for training and I use Standard Process supplementation." Congrats to Dr. Rectenwald for a job well done.

Dr. Tony Rump (’90) presented to three student sessions at a career day in Ohio. He hopes they are inspired to check out Chiropractic as a profession!

Dr. Carlos A. Sellés (’94) owns a sailing team, Grupo Vela Q, in Puerto Rico composed of chiropractors on the island. Of the six members, five are LIFE alums. So far, the team has raced three times and has earned three first places in their category.

Dr. Gary Scardino ('96) will be hosting Chiro Friends, a weekend of food, fun and fellowship, Feb. 21-23 in Spring Lake, N.J. More information can be found here.

Dr. Stu Katzen (’97) recently competed in the Masters Madness CrossFit competition in Philadelphia. He finished in the top 10 competitors while sporting his LIFE U jersey!

Don Peterson, Jr. just published a great article on positive press for Chiropractic. Read the full story here.
