Professional Directory Launches!
Do you want to market your business? The Alumni Relations Department has created an online professional directory of Life University Alumni & Friends to serve as a resource for the general public seeking expertise in their local area. The directory provides an easy-to-use tool that features listing based on city, state and zip code. In addition, the public can also locate an individual based on their profession, techniques, therapies or patient education.

Alumni & Friends Updates

Congratulations to Dr. Allan Mell (’82) who was randomly selected to win a customized drop table courtesy of Dr. Dennis Ostrosky of Sunshine Tables.

Welcome aboard our newest State Reps – Drs. Jay Di Vagno (’81), Frances Colon ('93) and Leona Di Amore (’99)! As State Reps, they will serve as a liaison between their state and the University to help strengthen relationships among our alumni and friends. Dr. Darren Bell ('91) has been busy adjusting many of the musicians that come to his area in Buffalo, NY for concerts. He has provided chiropractic care backstage at events featuring Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, George Strait, The Zombies, and Justin Bieber.  

Dr. HR Van Nostrand (’91) would like to thank his old classmates for coming to his wedding with Cynthia Pawlikowski in Virginia. He enjoyed seeing old faces and loved talking about new things happening in the profession and in their lives. He is thankful for all the advice on running a practice and keeping his wife happy and in love with him.

Dr. Bert Silverman, Basic Sciences faculty member, will be retiring later this year. His daughter, Jessica, asks for any former students to send her examples of things they learned, anecdotes, pictures or whatever you would like to share to jsilverman@ccaha.org

Dr. Ronald Hunerberg (’86) serves as baseball coach to his son’s Cal Ripken 8U team. This season, the team boasted the honor of being Florida State Champions as well as runner up in the Southeastern Regional Tournament (out of 500 teams).

Recently Dr. John Lombardozzi (’97) embarked on a journey to Sturgis Bike Rally where he entered and won The Horse Backstreet Chopper competition at the Full Throttle Saloon.

Dr. David Jockers (’08) just released his new book, Super Charge Your Brain, which allows readers to discover the most advanced strategies to radically improve mood, memory and mindset naturally. It is available for purchase on Amazon.

Drs. Francisco (’10) and Sebastián Colón (’13) recently opened their first practice, “Cordero Family Chiropractic,” in Lantana, Fla.

Fiesta in Puerto Rico – Earn Your CE’s and Party in February!
Escape the cold and join the Asociación de Quiroprácticos de Puerto Rico and the Ajústate Fundación Para La Difusión De Los Principios Quiroprácticos in sunny San Juan on February 8, 2014 for a full day of CE and camaraderie. LIFE Vision Seminar is Here to Stay
What an amazing weekend it was for Life University and all who attended one or more of the outstanding events either on campus (LIFE Leadership Weekend, LIFEforce 1000) or nearby (LIFE Vision, LIFEforce 1000 VIP Party).  Lives were changed, and the message of Chiropractic is alive and well.  

The inaugural LIFE Vision Seminar was a huge success, as the ballroom at Cobb Galleria Centre was packed full of students, chiropractors and other guests on both days who were there to listen to the long list of chiropractic legends share their stories and inspired the attendees to be on fire for Chiropractic.  You will not want to miss the next LIFE Vision in October, click here to register.

State Representatives Wanted
A new State Representative program has been kicked off by the Department of Alumni Relation in conjunction with the Alumni Association to help strengthen relationships among our alumni and friends.  As a State Rep, you have the unique opportunity to serve as a liaison between alumni and friends in your state and the University.  We are looking for leaders!

Now accepting reservations for alumni campus tours!
Come visit us for a tour of the campus of your alma mater and see how much it’s changed. Whether it’s been two years or 20, you’ll be amazed at the transformation that has taken place at LIFE. The tour will take approximately two hours and will conclude with lunch (on us!) at the on-campus dining facility, the Socrates Café. Tours take place the second Thursday of each month from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and are limited to five alumni per tour. To sign up for our next tour, please click here to register. 

LIFEforce 1000 - Recruiting additional members
LIFEforce 1000 is a group of 1,000 dynamic chiropractors who have committed to each other to make a difference in helping Life University spread principled, vitalistic Chiropractic and Lasting Purpose around the world. This tribe of chiropractors will not stop until they have established worldwide access to Chiropractic and a chiropractic education for anyone who wants it.
