William M. Harris Center for Clinical Education
Project Goal: $7 million
Phase IV Need = $1 million



  • A Clinical Assessment Center with 26 exam rooms equipped with Web CT technology for observation and testing of students
  • An expanded diagnostic imaging center to provide students increased training in X-Ray use and analysis using both new, digital X-Ray equipment and replica models
  • Several new clinical education classrooms
  • A prototype chiropractic office to place first-year students in a mock chiropractic practice
  • Administrative workspace for clinical faculty
  • Physical proximity and dedicated areas that help retool the student clinic program in order to provide students with active group learning, patient education skills and best technique training
  • A student lounge and an atrium
  • The William M. Harris Legacy Gallery

Programming and Facilities Expansion

Phase IV Need: $550,000



  • Develop high-impact research studies that support such efforts as subluxations-based clinical research
  • Support student research programs such as scholarships, stipends, advanced training and travel awards
  • Develop the highest level chiropractors and human performance experts, innovative education tools need to be implemented, such as "technique skills" mannequin to support active learning strategies.
  • Bring the best researchers and biostatisticians to Life University and to advance collaborations with leading institutions
  • Support Life University’s “Research Link” program. This initiative provides an avenue for field practitioners to read and hear about research that can impact day-to-day patient care, become involved and participate in the research process, and attend such venues as a Research Colloquium.

Goals for the field:

  • Ground changes such as perimeter drainage piping that will clear the field of standing water experienced now
  • Geotextile fabric subgrade for flat surfaces
  • Perimeter curbing
  • Stone aggregate
  • Synthetic turf
  • Midfield logo installation
  • Maintenance plan that requires no water usage and more efficient, less costly repair than grass

Goals for the perimeter:

  • New goal posts
  • Block step concrete walls for seating
  • Concrete access pads
  • Perimeter fencing
  • Storage building with VIP roof deck
